Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop

This month’s theme is Something Quick To Make

Photo of 'Something quick to make' cards using a Stampin' Up! kit

If like me you suddenly need something quick to make then why not try one of the Stampin’ Up! Kits. The kits include everything you need to make a selection of cards and sometimes boxes. They are perfect for new crafters, busy crafters or crafters who want something quick and easy. They come with picture instructions showing you how to make each card. Today I have chosen to use the Christmas Whimsy Card Kit as this one also comes with a stampin block.

First I started by sorting out the various items in the box. I decided I wanted to make the 2 cards in this kit as per the instructions so I sorted out the items I would need to do this. I started by stamping the sentiments onto the pre-cut shapes. Next I started to make each card as per the instructions. I love how all I needed to add to the kit was a pair of scissors.

Kits – Something quick to make – Card 1

To make this card all I had to do was to stamp the sentiment onto the pre cut tag shape. I then stamped the snowflake image on to the card. Next I added the Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the back of the pre cut printed images and sentiment shape before adding to the card. I then cut the gold thread and threaded it through the pre cut shape and then fixing to the back of the presents. Finally I added some of the blue snowflakes to the sky.

Kits – Something quick to make – Card 2

To make this card again all I had to do was to stamp the sentiment onto the pre cut shape. Next I cut the gold thread and fixed it to the back of the pre cut shape. I then stamped the star image on to the card. Next I added the Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the back of the pre cut printed image and sentiment shape before adding to the card. Finally I added some of the blue stars to the sky and a gold star.

I am sure that you will love having a go at making cards using one of the Stampin’ Up! Kits. They are regularly updated through the year so if you wish to use this one you need to order it quickly before it sells out. With the remaining parts of the kit I can make either make some more cards or a scrapbook layout.

Until next time, keep stampin n crafting,
