PTI January 2013 Blog Hop: Black Background

I'm back with my project for this month's blog hop which is to focus on a black background.  I have not really started on Valentines yet, and my limitless layer heart dies were sitting on my desk waiting to be used.  I also spied the rainbow color scheme worksheet from a recent MIM challenge that I didn't get a chance to play along with and decided to combine the two challenges together.  So here is my project:

I used the chevron embossing folder from Stampin' Up to add some interest to the black layer.  It felt strange to me not to put a sentiment of some sort on the front, but I couldn't really figure out a good place to add it, so I just left it alone.

Thanks for stopping by!  I look forward to seeing what you created!

Very pretty card! It's so happy with the rainbow colors. But I didn't see it in the PTI blog hop list. Got to get it in to show off your lovely valentines day card!

Your heart speaks for itself, no sentiment needed. Great layout.

Love how you used the colorful chevrons and then added the chevron impression plate. A beautiful rainbow card and such a unique design for Valentine's Day. PS...TOTALLY get you on the sentiment! I always add them last and manage to "kill" many a card, eeek!

Wonderful card. I love the hearts combined with the chevrons. Don't worry about no sentiment. Sometimes those cards can come in handy--my mom just asked me this morning if I had any cards without sentiments!

I LOVE your card - I honestly didn't notice it was missing a sentiment and think anything would really take away from this CAS perfection!
