The cattle tank was still frozen this morning despite the new heater.
My son and nephew came and tested the voltage in the water and the tank. There was a bit of electricity floating in the water, but the outlets tested fine.
They put a new heater in it (wish I’d thought of that, but my dad didn’t deliver that part of my message). There was no stray electricity after replacing the heater.
We’ll see if this one works (when it gets cold next time), or I’ll be in the market for an electrician.
Lady bugs are much more pleasant than the cattle tank.

‘stray electricity’ in a water tank? yikes! just freaks me out. 🙂
I’m not a fan of it either. It hasn’t been at a dangerous level, but I’m ready to drain the thing and find an alternate water source. 😦
I love lady bugs as they are good luck. These photos are fabulous.
Thanks. They enjoy my plants all winter.
I like lady bugs too! Neat captures, Teresa.
Thanks. I had to rescue the thing. Why do they always want to swim in my dish water?
Love your little visitor! 🙂
I hope you get the cattle tank figured out, it must be frustrating…
Very frustrating. It was fine for the first year once we got it hooked up properly, not a drop of ice at all. Last year and this, makes me want to pull my hair out.
Love the lady bug…but not the stray voltage thing! I’m glad you’re getting it figured out now, before the even colder weather comes. Sounds like you’ve got some great helpers there!
Not sure how great they are…but they really do try to help. 🙂 I really want to get this taken care of.
I love the contrast between the words and the pictures haha. That is a lovely lady bug.
Thanks. I figured the bug was better to look at than the cattle tank. 🙂
🙂
Thanks for hosting your Wordless Wednesday!
The ladybug is so cute. I hope you can figure out the problem with the water tank.
I know I can’t. I just hope I can find someone who is smart enough!
Hope the new heater works for ya… yesterday was my 1st of many winter days hauling out hot water to all the frozen water buckets 🙂
I don’t like the way that sounds! That is a lot of hard work!
Sweet ladybug captures!
Thanks!
