Make It Monday #71 & CR84FN # 56

Hello Friends! I hope you’re having a great week!  It’s hot here and I’ve been spending some time with my craft supplies and sewing so I’m happy!  I ordered several new ink cubes from Papertrey Ink last week and I was anxious to try them out.  I really like the coverage but as with any new inks, it will take me some time to get the hang of using it.  I’m really excited to have most of the colors again though!

On to today’s card. This week’s Make It Monday challenge was about Bordered Sentiments. You can check out the post on Nichole’s blog right here.  Here is my take on the technique. I had a lot of fun playing with the big sentiment (that also arrived last week) and this cool color combination that I found on the CR84FN blog.  I honestly would not have put Smokey Shadow and Lemon Tart together but I really like it!

CR84FN56 Graphic

MIM 71 I know you can barely see it but I stamped the Fancy Flourishes in Versamark ink and used clear embossing powder and a pinch of glitter just to add a little depth to the stamped and sponged background.  After I removed the masking from the sentiment block I added a couple of rhinestones and colored them yellow with a Sharpie marker.  The whole panel is adhered to a Smokey Shadow card base.

I’m off to finish Joe’s birthday card and water my flowers.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
