Make It Monday # 68 Pocket Cards

Being away from my craft area for almost two weeks was much harder than I thought. I was itching for my houseguests to vacate my spare bedroom/craft room so I could make a card or two, especially when I kept seeing such great challenges being posted in my blog reader.

Here is my take on Heather's Pocket Card tutorial:

I used beloved Kraft cardstock as my base, black as the mat, and Papertrey's School Time stamp set to make this teacher Thank You pocket card. Sentiment is from PTI Think Big Favorites and inks are PTI Pure Poppy, Momento Tuxedo Black, and Brilliance Sunflower Yellow. I also used my EK Success border punch to make the loose-leaf effect at the top of the pocket.

For the pocket cards, I stamped on two of the Becky Higgins Project Life cards which are like graph paper and goes well with my school theme. The back also has the graph design so she can continue writing her note on the reverse side (her handwriting not so tiny!). One card will be for my daughter to write a note to her teacher, the other for me to write one.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

  1. This is cute! Love the punch you used! What a sweet thought to have notes from both you and your daughter for the teacher.

  2. I agree with Mayol that is a great idea. My children usually write theirs.
