Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - May 2012

Challenge: This months inspiration is a unique color scheme that has been popping up everywhere this spring.  A bright green(Simply Chartreuse or New Leaf) paired with bold black & white patterns.  Think gingham, argyle, checks or stripes.  Really mix things up and enjoy the creative process! We look forward to seeing your creations on May 25th!

Keep Calm and Mustache On!

A spin on the "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster... Mustaches are so fun, kitschy, and "in" right now, so I thought this was a fun little sentiment.

The card is pretty plain, maybe too plain? But, I generally make CAS cards and I can't see this stamp really working with a card that's too busy, it's just so small! I used the washi tape for the different patterns, and made my own little "pattern"/design out of the tape...it kind of works? I don't know, I just really like that little mustache!

I used Papertrey Ink Stamper's Select White card stock for my card base (my favorite), some random washi tape that I'd ordered online a few years ago, Papertrey Ink Simply Chartreuse ink and versafine black ink. Stamp is from My Thoughts Exactly.
