Sending Smiles

It's Friday Eve and I'm back with a card I made earlier this week for this week's Make It Monday.  How could I not participate in this week's challenge when I have tons of paper scraps in various storage vessels in my craft room?!  I only wish I could consume them as quickly as I acquire them!

I was inspired by the layout of the card Dawn made, but my color palette is oriented to late summer/early fall and I flipped the focal images and sentiment on my card.  I also added some faux stitching between the patterned paper seams.  My faux stitching clearly isn't perfect, but I assure you it is FAR better than my real attempts with a sewing machine.  Trust me on this.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your week!

I really like the color scheme and patterns you chose. The sunflowers coordinate perfectly and the little fillable frame over the top is a fun addition!

I would never have known that that wasn't real stitching if you hadn't mentioned it....that faux stitching looks great! This card makes me ready for summer...love the color combo!
