good and bad
but certainly not ugly! the good part is obvious; the bad part is there are 4 pesky purple triangles facing the wrong way! like how did that happen? probably watching TV while sewing is how. anyway, i've got these 3 rows done here with 4 more to go. fat tuesday is february 21st and i am hoping this top will be done way before then, maybe even tied....now wouldn't that be great! **** also while working on this flimsy, i've been doing a cross-stitch piece, plus sewing on 4 other quilt projects, probably why it isn't done yet. i am anxious to see it all together though and get all those pieces off the sewing table.

Looks good to me. So lively and full of movement. Wonderful!! I had to enlarge the photo and study hard to find what you were talking about. Just curious--does it bother you enough that you are going to unpick, or can you live with it as is?
ReplyDeleteI used purple, orange and teal, similar colors but a much different overall appearance. And, I know what you mean about the pieces in the wrong direction. This quilt required a lot of attention or a lot of frogging! Keep going, it will be worth it!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt looks great. I did exactly the same as you. fixed mistake now I've just noticed another one. I knew at the time this was a tricky quilt to put together - talk about having to have your wits about you !!
ReplyDeletei will definitely fix the 4 that need it; i've put a lot of work into this so far and it would bother me if i didn't fix it.
ReplyDeleteLooking great, Grace! I salute you stick-to-it-iveness!
ReplyDeleteI quit when the thrid clue came out. But I've been using some of the hourglass units in another quilt.
Lovely, happy quilt. I didn't see the ones turned the wrong way, but I know what you mean about if you don't fix it it'll bother you, especially since this one is a big investment in time and money.
