Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday video looked simple enough. Nichole always makes her techniques look so easy and they are always so gorgeous. Unfortunately my first attempt at making a custom background with PTI stamps failed miserably. I am slowly building my PTI collection and supplies but don't have any stamps really appropriate for creating a background that fit this design (hopefully will be corrected hopefully with the Feb release!) and sentiments to fit in a banner shape. I tried to make a background with the Simply Stationery set but the results were awful.
So I scrapped the whole thing and made this card using My Mind's Eye patterned paper as the background. I LOVE how it turned out. The dimensional sentiment banner look amazing in real life. And I have decided that PTI's Pure Poppy ink is my favorite color. I'll definitely be using this technique again.
