This months theme is: Boys and Men
This is my first time in taking part in the Tech4stampers Academy Blog hop. I knew as soon as I saw the theme I wanted to make a quick and easy card for boys and men and wanted to use the Trusty Tool stamp set and dies. This is such a fabulous bundle for making quick cards with.
To make my card I started with a piece of A4 Berry Burst cardstock and cut this at 14.85 cms and scored it at 10.50 cms. Then I cut 3 cms from each side up to the centre fold, making three flappy bits on the front. I then chose a piece of patterned paper from one of my favourite patterned paper packs called Bright and Beautiful and cut 4 pieces that measured 2.50 x 10 cms. I stuck these on the flaps and underneath the flaps. Next I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 8.50 cms x 10 cms and I just wanted to stamp a hammer on my cardstock so I had some room to write a little note but you could using the Biggest Wish stamp set stamp a sentiment. I stuck it under the middle flap piece. I now cut a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock that measured 8.50 x 10 cms I stuck this on top of the middle flap and decorated this using the Trusty Tool dies which to give a little dimension to my card I stuck the die cuts of the drill and spanner on using normal and mini sticky dots. Finally I cut a piece of Berry Burst card stock that measured 14.85 x 3 cms and a Basic White piece measuring 14.3 x 2.50 cms. I stamped my sentiment on using the Biggest Wishes stamp set and stuck this across the front of the card by just putting glue on the end two pieces so when you lift it up the flap is still free to move.
