The Tech4Stampers Blog Hop is today and the theme is Ways With Vellum. Since that groundhog did not see his shadow, I decided on a spring card. Spring is my favorite season although where I live I feel like spring is always later than I would like. Years ago it was all the rage to get your colors done, so of course, I got my mine done. I turned out to be a spring, not surprising.
Here are the details of my card. I tried to use the in-colors that are retiring in a few months. They have been one of my favorite in-colors – they are mostly spring colors.
- Card base is Thick Basic White cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.
- Next layer is Tahitian Tide cut to 5 1/4″ x 4″. Emboss this piece with the Layering Florals 3D embossing folder. Attach to card front.
- Next stamp the sentiment from Thoughtful Expressions in Night of Navy. Die cut with Thoughtful Expressions dies.
- Using the largest rectangle die cut a piece of Vellum Basics.
- Using the Meadow dies, die cut night of Navy and Sweet Sorbet. Die cut the leaves from vellum and then color them with a blending brush and Parakeet Party.
- Arrange these on the Vellum Basics piece and attach. Also attach the sentiment with Dimensionals.
- Attach the whole vellum piece to the card front. Only put adhesive where it will not show.
- Finish it off with some bling. I used the Adhesive Backed Hearts & Flowers Gems.
