Sweetest Cherries

Today it’s time for another STARS blog hop. The theme for #DOswts400 is a layout sketch and I’ve chosen the Sweetest Cherries Bundle for this card.

The cherries are stamped on white cardstock and then punched. I first punched a scrap, then used it to line up the stamps on my Stamparatus. The only glitch was that there is only one leaf stamp but two leaves on the punch so those second leaves were stamped after being punched. The little tag is die cut with one of the All That Dies.

The inside finishes the sentiment and includes a cherry.

After completing the first card, I went back to the drawing board and decided to make these cherries of colored cardstock without stamping them. The greeting was stamped onto a piece of the Brushstroke Specialty Paper and then cut apart and matted with the Soft Suede. It doesn’t follow the sketch as closely as the first card, but I really liked the greeting better this way.

A # of Wink of Stella was added to each cherry to give them a bit of dimensions but doesn’t show up well on the photos. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the ink stamped on the Brushstrokes Specialty paper.

The inside finishes off with a simple greeting in Tuxedo Black and another cherry was stamped on the corner of the envelope.
