Night of Flight Host Stamp Set

This month I have had a couple of large events and I wanted to promote the opportunity to earn exclusive host products when my customers organise a home party. One of the options is to have a ‘ kit’ party which is perfect for everyone. The attendees can order any of the kits currently available, the host earns rewards if thy can gather enough people/orders & I have minimal work load. Yay!!

Don’t you just love the versatility of our Stampin’ Up! range?

The unusual Night of Flight Stamp set is one of the current Host options available for just £13 of rewards. You can purchase many butterfly stamp sets, but I love this set of moth images for something a little different. I made this card to as a thank you to my hostesses for booking and I hope this might act as a lovely incentive for then to reach the magic rewards figure!!

Night of Flight thank you card

I wanted to create a card that would be relatively easy to replicate and breaking the front down into four sections makes the space fell a little less intimidating to fill for a new crafter. I was inspired by a layout from Emma Goddard, who created a similar layout at a recent event using the the Hey Chuck stamp set and I know I will be using this sketch again.

Stamp the four images in Stazon Ink so they look like they are flying off in all directions

Then tint each image with a touch of colour – Don’t they look so pretty?

Once dry add a moody background of Pebbled Path ink

Tip: Water colour in sections on each piece & allow the card to dry in between so the colours don’t bleed into one another ie back ground then moths or vice versa.

Splatter some Pebbled Path Stampin’ Blend over the images for more detail.

Heat Emboss the sentiment in white embossing powder onto a scrap of Basic Black card and then trim it down to give a slim border

Add three Brushed Metallic Adhesive backed dots & to finish add a bow of Linen Thread

Measurements – Night of Flight thank you card

  • Card Base: Thick Basic White– 29.7 cm by 10.5 cm score at 14.8 cm
  • First Layer: Fluid 100 Watercolor card– CUT 4 6.7 cm by 4.5 cm cm
  • Sentiment: Basic Black – Scrap

Voila!
