Hello and welcome to this months Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop. This month we have been given a theme of Animals, leaving us free to interpret this however we like.
Mention the word animals and I start thinking of sheep! Big, small, white, black. Any sort of sheep! I adore them, so of cause, for this theme I am using a sheep. To be precise a ram, but its still a sheep. The ‘Peekaboo Farm’ stamp set has five super cute animal stamps, that can be placed to peer over the wall image. This set was a must for me.
Blended Background for a Hello There card
Cut a piece of ‘Basic White’ cardstock measuring 9.5cm x 13.9cm. Create a sky, using ‘Balmy Blue’ ink with a ‘Blending Brush’. Start at one end and gently blend your ink onto your cardstock using circular motions. Always start off the cardstock to avoid blotches. Continue to blend, moving up your cardstock, until you are happy. Blend from the other end with ‘Pear Pizzazz’ ink, to create your grass. This is your Blended Background. Add a few tuffs of grass using a ‘Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Marker’.
Stamp your wall image onto ‘Crumb Cake’ cardstock, using ‘Soft Suede’ ink and fussy cut around. Adhere to your blended background using ‘Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive’. Using ‘Smoky Slate’ ink, stamp your chosen animal image onto ‘Basic White’ cardstock and colour using ‘Stampin’ Blends’. I have added ‘Wink Of Stella’ to my sheeps woolly coat. Fussy cut out your animal and adhere above your wall, using ‘Stampin’ Dimensionals’.
Add some clouds to your sky, using ‘Balmy Blue’ ink and ‘Basic White’ cardstock, and fussy cutting the out. Adhere to your blended background with ‘Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive’ and ‘Stampin’ Dimensionals’.
Die cut a banner, I used the ‘Tasteful Labels Dies’, or cut one and stamp your sentiment using ‘Smoky Slate’ ink. Fix onto your blended background using ‘Stampin’ Dimensionals’.
Layer your blended background onto a piece of ‘Smoky Slate’ cardstock, measuring 10cm x 14.4cm, layer onto an A6 card base, measuring 10.5cm x 14.9cm, using ‘Thick Basic White’ cardstock. Finish your card by adding white gems from the ‘Elegant Faceted gems’.
