Today I am going to share with you how to create some quick and easy cards with your patterned papers. Our Designer Series Papers are all beautiful, but we must use them, not just stroke them.

My Projects

On one of my recent Facebook Lives, I was spotlighting the gorgeous Flower & Field DSP, that is currently available as a free item during Sale-a-Bration. Here is the UK, you can choose of a pack of this vibrant 12″ x 12″ paper, when you spend £45 or more. The amount you have to spend will be comparable in every market.

The sheets of patterned paper were cut down into card front sizes using the love it, chop it method.

We set out to “love it, chop it” by creating a stack of card front sized pieces and then set to creating with them. This pack of paper is bursting with bright flowers and bold patterns.

Thank You Cards

We create a couple of thank you cards. These were so quick and easy to make and are perfect if you are mass producing. They will be my choice of cards for my customer Thank Yous this month.

A Thank You card created using the Field and Flower Designer Series paper from Stampin' Up!

This first used 2 designs of the paper, a dotty background with a floral panel on top. The Thank You sentiment came from the “Punch Party” stamp set. This set is a free gift to anyone who hosts a qualifying event during Sale-a-Bration. These stamps that I used, coordinate with the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. To finish off, I added some Polka Dot Tuille Ribbon.

For the second cared, I trimmed my panel down and cut it into 3 equal strips. these were added to a Basic Black card base with a Shaded Spruce mat. This greeting came from the “Heal Your Heart” stamp set, which is another Sale-a-Bration set. Both the greeting and its mat were cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies. The bow to finish was created with the white twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo pack.

More Cards

We were having such fun, so we carried on creating. Here we have a “just because” card that makes you smile to look at it. The Daisy Punch and Daisy Lane Stamp set were used with this card.

And of course a Happy Birthday card is always needed. These flowers are so reminiscent of Canal Art. As a child, my family had a Narrow boat on the canal here in Northamptonshire, so these flowers are very nostalgic for me.

Watch the video if you would like to see these cards being created.

Let’s Hop

I hope you have enjoyed my project. Do leave a comment if you can, because it certainly makes my day. Then it is time to hop around all the other projects
