Royal Stampers Blog Hop August 2020

Christmas in August!

Oh my gosh the amount of people that have said “what you’re making Christmas cards in August!” as if that’s a bad thing is astonishing. I have no idea what the problem is with starting early, isn’t that normal for us Crafters? After all I’ve known some people start in January, now even in my book that’s perhaps a tad early, but each to their own I say, do what makes you happy. Although, saying that, I do draw the line at too much glitter until at least October, then it becomes a free for all glitter fest!

Anyway, as you can see I paid no heed and continued regardless and ended up having a ball creating these very cute snowman cards (12 of each in fact) using my Stamparatus to repeat the tree & randomly stamping the snowflakes for a leaf effect all from the brand new all season Life is Beautiful stamp set from the August-December Mini catalogue and the ever popular Snowman Season stamp set & Snowman Builder punch that returned from last years seasonal catalogue and now features in our Annual catalogue.

Couple the tree and two different snowmen with some soft yet modern colours of Highland Heather & Balmy Blue then using the blends for a dash of colour on the snowmen and some Wink of Stella highlights, (well I had to have some glitter) I hope you’ll agree they make for some very cute Christmas cards.

Cardstock Measurements are….
A4 Thick Whisper White cut in half at 14.9cm and scored at 10.5cm
Coloured layer 14.4cm x 10cm
Whisper White top layer 13.9cm x 9.5cm

  1. love love love this stamp set and you’ve done a great job with this project. To be honest, I’m a little bit miffed that I didn’t think of this idea myself to pair it with the snowman. love it. Barry x
