Stamping with the STARS Challenge 339

Time for another Inspiration Hop! I have had my idea for this post floating around in my head for a month, but of course, I waited until 2 hours before the post was due to actually put ink to paper, yikes! Hope you enjoy this die cut front card. Here is the Inspiration that I was starting with.

I immediately saw a cut out circle when I looked at the inspiration sketch.

I have some circle dies that were retired years ago but this is a 4″ circle. It could be hand cut if you don’t have a circle die that size. Start with a regular 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ cardbase scored at 4 1/4″. Lay it open on the die machine plate with the score line right at the edge of the plate so that the die will not cut past the score line. Lay the die onto the cardbase positioned where wanted and cut as usual. Simply use a scissors to cut along the score line up to the circle from both edges to remove the unwanted portion of the card front.

Inside View

I used Stampin’ Blends to color the images on the circle front, so because blends bleed through the paper, I cut a second circle and adhered it to the inside so that it would have a fresh clean look.

Now check out the other great projects and then I suggest that you get outside and enjoy the day!
