It’s time for another STARS blog hop. Today we are working from a layout sketch. So here is the inspiration that everyone is starting with.
I wanted to use some of the gorgeous designer series paper that I have piles of. I don’t know why, but I tend to hoard it, lol. I chose the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper for this card. It has embossing on and is truly beautiful paper. The 3 strips are cut 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″.
The stamp set that I’ve used is Grace’s Garden.. I started with a piece of whisper white cardstock 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ and sponged it with Mint Macaron on the bottom and Balmy Blue on the top. I also used a sponge dauber and spun little dots of color where the small die cut flowers are placed. I used the matching ink for the paper color of the flowers. The little kitten is also die cut with the matching Garden Gateway Dies. TIP: If you are thinking about purchasing either a stamp set or a die set that has a matching component but are not sure if you want the entire set, my advice is to buy the entire bundle right away and save the 10%. Everytime that I’ve thought that I didn’t need both parts, I ended up purchasing the other half at some point, lol. Also, remember that the bundle price is usually only offered during the catalog sales period that the stamp set is first released. So even if the stamp and dies are carrying over to the next catalog the bundle pricing doesn’t carry over.
