MY THOUGHTS: Remington Aldridge, best known as Remi Devine is America’s Sweetheart, an actress by trade. Since the death of their parents, Remi’s brother Aiden has done everything to keep her safe, including having bodyguards with her 24/7. Despite close calls with a stalker, Remi doesn’t like feeling trapped and has mastered ditching her guards to take time to herself and just breathe.

Mason Swift is a professional bodyguard and the owner of the safety firm that employs the same bodyguards Remi works to ditch. Mason steps in as Remi’ s bodyguard at Aiden’s request following her many pleas to loosen up the reigns. And though Mason is a professional, he is convinced that he has a spoiled princess he’ll have to deal with for a time.

While still having a bodyguard wasn’t what Remi had in mind, Mason teaches her that she can live her own life while still staying safe until her stalker is found, by setting boundaries. Mason learns what it was like to miss out on some of the simple things in life like birthday parties and friends.

Together Remi and Mason, build a connection with themselves and each other that surpasses any bond of family and friendship. They both learn to trust, set boundaries, and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Remi and Mason have gone through enough pain to last a lifetime and the adventure that they have gone through is life-altering. This is a story that you don’t want to miss out on and won’t be able to put down until you reach the end.
