Hello lovelies, a warm welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. This month's theme is our Holiday Catalogue Favourites. I'm so excited! All these products will be available from September 4th.

I look forward to this Holiday Catalogue every year because I LOVE Halloween & Christmas! I always find something in it that I just can't resist. This year, one of my favourites was the super cute Elfie's. (of course I have others but let's just start here!)
I have created a mix of cards to show you...and to suit all levels of stampers...the Beginner, the Casual and the Avid Stamper.
BEGINNER STAMPER
My favourite (this week) from the Holiday Catalogue is the Elfie Stamp Set. I have created a super simple design for the beginner stamper. I stamped the image onto some Shimmery Paper and coloured in with the Blends.
The colours I used were Flirty Flamingo (cheeks), Lovely Lipstick, Smokey Slate, Ivory for the skin and Bronze for the hair.
I added a little splash of colour in the background using my Aqua Painter. I put some ink onto a stamp base, mixed with a bit of water and lightly brushed onto the Shimmery Cardstock - careful not to touch the stamped image (as this will cause it to run). Once dry, I glued the paper onto a Whisper White (thick) card base.
CASUAL STAMPER
Using the same papers and stamp, this time I cut out the stamped image and once coloured in, I mounted it onto some Dimensionals. I coloured the background the same way as the first card and once dry, I embossed the Shimmery Cardstock using the Subtle Embossing Folder.
A close up shows you the soft textures the embossing folder left on the card. You may also see the clear round raised dots on the card. This was created by me dropping on small dots of the new Shimmery Crystals Effects. Once dry (a few hours) they set hard and stay raised as you can see here. I really like them because they are easy to apply and you decide what size you want. (you can also sprinkle on some glitter for that extra sparkle)
He are a few more cards using the same techniques as above.
AVID STAMPER
I have added a few more layers onto this card with the Smokey Slate Cardstock and used the Frosted Frames from the Frosted Bundle to cut out some special 'Christmassy' shapes (as well as the stitched rectangle.) I have also added the Shimmery Crystals Effects and some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
If you look up super close, you might even be able to see the effects of the Snowball Accents Puff Paint I used on the elf. Yah! this was so much fun, you just squeeze out the liquid onto your work and then set it to dry using the heat embossing tool. As it dries, the paint puffs up.

I have just one more creation to share with today, I was loving these cute little elves so much, I just wanted to keep going!! This is what I call a Double Z Box Card.
This card was so much fun to design with these happy little elves...
When the card is open, you can see all the different layers in the middle of the card ( the box part).
When folded flat, this card will fit into an envelope for posting.

I have actually made a tutorial on how to make one on a previous blog...it was called a Double Z Fold Pop Up Card, but I think the name I have changed it to fits the description better because there is a pop up 'box' inside the card. For full instructions please go to the below link...
