Paper Pumpkin Thing May Blog Hop - Hugs from Shelli

Hello, Stampers!
Welcome to the May Paper Pumpkin Thing
Blog Hop - Hugs from Shelli!

This month’s one-of-a-kind kit honors someone very special—
Stampin’ Up!’s board chair and cofounder, Shelli Gardner.
Shelli herself helped conceptualize and design all of the projects
you see in the kit. Its elegant, vintage look reflects Shelli’s personal
papercrafting style and the design team is here to share our
alternative projects featuring her kit!

I dug right in and created a card and repurposed the
box - take a look:

I stamped the flowers and colored them
with the new Pretty Peacock ink and
a blender pen. The birds were stamped with
Early Espresso ink and colored with Crumb Cake
ink. I finished off the card with a few of the kit
pieces and added pearls to the centers of the flowers.

The box is WAY TO PRETTY to throw
away! I cut the top of the box off. Then,
I cut the sides of the lid and adhered them to the
sides of the box. Finally, I added (2) sheets
of thin magnet to the inside of the box. I
will keep this box close to my workspace
to keep my die cuts safely together!

Thank you so much for joining me this month!
Continue along to see what the rest of the design
team has created for this hop!

Happie Stampin'! ~Melissa

Well that is a great idea for the box. I was just thinking I wonder if someone did something with the box and then I clicked on your post! I love it!
