Sugar Pea Designs Challenge #53
Every month Sugar Pea Designs has a challenge with colors or sketch and you can win $50 of their product! I am entering a card in this month using the sketch. When I saw the sketch I saw the cute lemonade pitcher from the Pucker Up stamp set sitting on a table.
I love almost monochromatic cards, and these lemons allow me to use one of my favorite colors, yellow, almost exclusively! To create this card, I started by die cutting the scalloped frame from water color paper. I used a sun ray stencil and inked with mustard seed & squeezed lemonade (how appropriate!) and then die cut a stitched circle near the bottom.
I stamped the images from the Pucker Up stamp set, colored with copic markers, and cut out. I stamped the sentiment with versafine black ink. Next, I created the little background for the lemonade pitcher by inking water color paper with squeezed lemonade and splattering with some yellow and white spray using a small paint brush.
To put it together, I pop dotted the scalloped frame over the background, added a die cut black table top, and then added the images at varying depths with pop dots. For the final touch I added some different yellow sequins for a bit of shine!
You still have a few more days to enter the Sugar Pea challenge #53 if you want your chance at winning!
Thanks,
Candice
