Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop March 2019

Hi! Welcome to Christy’s Stamping Spot. I’m Christy and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from Arizona, USA. Today, I’m excited to be taking part in Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop.

Did you see these super cute Sweet Cups in the Occasions Catalog (page 15)? I have a soft spot for tags and I immediately imagined these cups with filled with them.

View and Download the Sweet Cup Sleeve Template here.

Using the How Sweet It Is DSP cut out a sleeve for the Sweet Cup base with the template.

Use glue to attach the DSP to the Sweet Cup base. Cut out a Coastal Cabana cs circle (1 /78″) with the Layering Circle framelit dies. Cut out a Sparkle Glimmer Paper scalloped circle (1 3/4″) with the Layering Circle framelit die. Cut out a Melon Mambo cs circle (1 3/8″) with the Stitched Shapes framelit dies. Use tear & tape to attach the Coastal Cabana cs circle and the Sparkle Glimmer Paper scalloped circle to the Sweet Cup base. TIPuse the Bone Folder to gently curl the circles to make it easier to attach to the side of the Sweet Cup. Attach the Coastal Cabana/ Granny Apple Green 3/8″ Reversible ribbon with tear & tape around the Sweet Cup base and tie in a bow. Then use tear & tape and glue dots to attach the Melon Mambo stitched circle over the ribbon in the center of the Coastal Cabana/Sparkle Glimmer paper scalloped circle. Stamp the sentiment with the Itty Bitty Birthdays on Whisper White cs in Mambo Melon ink. Use snips to flag the end and attach with a glue dot. Add a Glitter Enamel dot to finish the base.

To decorate the lid cut a piece of Sparkle Glimmer Paper and attach it to the lip of the lid with tear & tape. Use snips to banner the end where the paper overlaps and add glue dots to secure the flagged end. Cut out a Coastal Cabana cs scalloped circle (3″), a Lemon Lime Twist cs stitched circle (2 7/8″), a Sparkle Glimmer Paper circle (2 3/4″), a Coastal Cabana cs stitched circle (2 3/8″), and a How Sweet It Is DSP scalloped circle (2 1/4″) with the Layering Circle framelits and Stitched Shapes framelit dies. Build and layer the lid by gluing or using tear & tape to attach the circles together. Add Glitter Enamel Dots and a bow to finish the lid.

Make 6 tags to go into the Sweet Cup. Cut 2 Coastal Cabana cs, 2 Melon Mambo cs, and 2 Lemon Lime Twist cs scalloped circles (2 1/2″) with the Layering Circles framelit dies. Cut 6 Sparkle Glimmer paper circles (2″) with the Layering Circles framelit dies. Cut 6 Vellum cs scalloped circles (1 3/4″) with the Layering Circle framelit dies.

Cut 6 Whisper White stitched circles(1 3/8″) for the sentiment with the Stitched Shapes framelit dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Cake Soiree stamp set 2 in Melon Mambo ink, 2 in Coastal Cabana ink, and 2 in Lemon Lime Twist ink.

Stamp 6 frosting pieces in Melon Mambo ink, cupcake bottom pieces in Coastal Cabana ink, and small cupcake pieces with 2nd generation (stamped off) Early Espresso ink. Cut out the cupcake pieces with snips or Call Me Cupcake framelit dies. Add Wink of Stella to the Early Espresso and Melon Mambo cupcake pieces blending out the color and adding sparkle. Use glue or tear & tape to build the cupcakes and attach them to the vellum scalloped circle.

Use glue or tear & tape to build the tags. Punch a hole in the side of the tags and in the stamped Whisper White stitched circles. Thread through the Coastal Cabana/ Granny Apple Green ribbon and use the Whisper White Baker’s Twine to secure the ribbon and tie a bow. Add a Glitter Enamel Dot to finish the tag.
