Hello to you

Hello to you

Do you ever make cards then decide that you don’t like it Today I am sharing a nearly card and another one also made which I decided I preferred to enter in to a couple of challenges.

The first was made using Stampin’ Up’s First Frost stamp set. I stamped the Pool Party card with Versamark Ink, then stamped roses and flowers with Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Grapefruit Grove inks. When I assembled the card I decided that I wasn’t happy with it so decided to stop as it was.

As I had planned in entering two challenges, one stating which colours to use, while the other was a CAS challenge, I picked up an old stamp set I have had for some time – Stampin’ Up Flower Patch. To make the Dahlia flower, I first stamped with Daffodil Delight with the solid stamp, then layered on top with Grapefruit Grove. The other small flower was made using Grapefruit Grove, the stamen was Daffodil Delight and the centre was Pool Party. Leaves were made cutting out Pool Party card stock and stamped with Versamark Ink. I then stamped a swirl on to white card stock using the stamp from Stylish Christmas in Pool Party ink. Everything were layered with Pool Party card stock and the sentiment cut from Pool Party card stock using the greetings thinlet dies.

The card is to be entered in the following challenges:

Global Design Project 172 : CASE the Designer

Paper Players PP424 : A Colour Challenge
