A Sketch Challenge

The Global Design Project has a sketch challenge this week.

This is such a cute sketch, with the little cut out on the top side. Here is the card I made using the sketch as my inspiration.

Getting the poinsettia lined up perfectly in the cut out was easy, thanks to our great Stamparatus. First I placed my Whisper White down, and stamped my image in Real Red ink. Then I put my DSP on the Stamparatus, just inside where I had placed my Whisper White card stock, since I was leaving a small border. I used the Joyous Noel SDSP which sadly is no longer available, but you can make a card like this with any of our beautiful Christmas DSP.

I decided not to reink my image, but you could if you wanted it to show darker, since we are punching it out anyway.
Next I used the stamped image to line up my 1 3/4 inch circle punch exactly as I wanted.

This made punching super easy, and placed exactly where I wanted it. I used Dimensionals to pop the DSP up and really set off the image.
My greeting is from the Star of Light stamp set available in the annual catalogue, and I added a Copper Foil layer to pick up the bright copper stars in the DSP.
