How is this the first time I’m hearing about Extra Crispy?!  It’s the perfect mix of salty and sweet, except in article and recipe form.  When invited to share the new cookbook Breakfast with you, I had to check it out.

This is a lovely large hardcover with the most wonderful photos of breakfast foods.    You can learn how to make a copycat Taco Bell breakfast wrap, sausage and cheese bread, or a terrific squash and spam hash.   It’s more than just the how-to-cook type of recipe.  Step by step instructions are included to make this ideal for those who need true cooking instruction.  This would be a wonderful gift for anyone who has an inclination to enjoy a yummy meal.  A college student, a newlywed, or a 40ish woman like me — these  recipes are for everyone who loves delicious food.

Even if you’re not inclined to get up and prepare one of the recipes, you can visually enjoy these wordy delectables.  The articles are funny, unique, and highly entertaining.   Granted, they’re probably taken straight from the website, but I love having them in print form.  This is the type of book you can take with you on a camping weekend or a beach trip; it doubles as inspiration and entertainment.

One lucky reader will win a copy of BREAKFAST! The giveaway is open to US readers ages 18+. Void where prohibited by law. Good luck!

ABOUT EXTRA CRISPY

Extra Crispy is the authority on breakfast and brunch, but it’s so much more than recipes. Extra Crispy will teach you how to poach an egg, followed by a discussion on how to feel about poaching eggs. The website covers the history of food, foodways around the world, and the chefs inspiring and changing the food industry, along with cooking tips and videos. Extra Crispy’s stories are personal, opinionated, and sometimes on the fringes of the food media landscape. The site showcases celebrity chefs and emerging voices from around the world, and behind it all is a sincere celebration of breakfast food and the culture surrounding it. Extra Crispy is a Meredith Corporation brand.
