What I liked?
It's a fun style of book. You're just reading letters that go back and forth between family and friends, and the reader pieces the story together through their eyes. You get to “see” a lot of England and Scotland too, as the characters are from various places and travel around too.
My favorite character is Tabitha Bramble, a high-spirited woman, who is probably an annoyance to everyone she knows, except to me as the reader, since I don't have to talk with her personally... but just watch what unfolds when she's around.
What I didn't care for?
(1) There are a couple of chapters that shared some gross sanitary habits (or rather unsanitary habits) that would not be a happy read for some people. The topics included gross bodily functions and the horrible ickiness of London streets.
(2) A small handful of mild foul language.

I'm intrigued that its told mostly through letters and gives a picture of parts of England and Scotland. Too bad for the icky stuff.
