Leaf Treats — Monday Montage #124

Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop!  We are a group of nine stampers who love to share what we create with you, and all you have to do to follow along is click on the links at the bottom of each post.

My husband makes our weekly Costco trips.  He is good about sticking to the list, and he goes, gets what’s on the list, and gets out in about 20 minutes.  When I go, it doesn’t quite work that smoothly.  I take the list and while I’m on my way to snag the first item, I get distracted by something that’s not on the list but for the life of me I can’t figure out why that is.  One hour later and with a cart full of many more items than what were on my list, I am leaving the store wondering what just happened.  So last week when I went in for a rotisserie chicken and croissants, a container full of sea salt chocolate covered caramels (shame on those sample people) ended up in my cart.  After consuming too many of them the past few days, and with many more still in the Costco sized container, I knew I needed to get rid of them.  So I decided to package them up in cute packages and give them to my girls to give to someone at school to brighten their day.

I started by assembling the Kraft Pillow Boxes, which are cute and super easy to assemble.  You don’t even need any adhesive.  I then stamped some of the leaves from Falling for Leaves, which is now available in the Holiday catalog, using Memento black ink on thick white cardstock.  I colored them with my markers, and die cut them with the coordinating framelits.

I was inspired by the color challenge over at The Paper Players this week.  It made me think of Fall, and I added the yellow color in as the color of my choice.  I know purple isn’t really a common leaf color, but hey, maybe it should be!

You’re ready to hop on over to Breelin Renwick’s blog.  I always love seeing what she makes!  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can jump back to Wendy Weixler’s blog.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing.

  1. Amy, these are gorgeous! WOW! I wish I was a your girl’s teacher and was receiving some of those treats! I love those things! LOL! The yellow looks gorgeous with our color combo! So happy you shared these fabulous treat holders with The Paper Players this week! XX

  2. Amy your little treat packages are gorgeous! I love the bright, vibrant leaves and the addition of the warm yellow adds a wonderful Fall feel to them. Lucky teachers who receive these I think! Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!

  3. Hi Amy! Oh, those Costco sample “pushers” like to make you buy way more than you intended! I always get in trouble too. Why can’t they sample carrots or something like that? Probably because nobody would want them, right? Haha! Great idea to wrap up those chocolates and share them and your little treat holders are gorgeous! I love how you added that pop of yellow to the color combo. It’s stunning! Thank you so much for joining us this week over at The Paper Players!
