Speech Bubble Blues

Speech Bubble Hello card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-dies from Lawn Fawn
Here's my card for the current challenge at The Paper Players.  This one came together quickly with the help of a trio of blue cardstock scraps.  After trimming the scraps down to different widths, I arranged them on a white cardstock panel, starting with the largest and lightest shade on the bottom and moving on to darker pieces as I went up the panel.  For the sentiment, I die cut a speech bubble from the darkest blue cardstock using Lawn Fawn's Speech Bubble dies.  I used one of the set's word dies to cut out the word "hello," then backed the negative space with the midtone blue cardstock.  After adhering the speech bubble to the panel over the bottom two blue cardstock strips, I accented it with a trio of white matte enamel dots. The finished panel was adhered to an easy to write on light blue panel.

Materials Used:
Speech Bubble dies (Lawn Fawn); Trendsetter Blue, My Favorite Blue Jeans, and True Blue Fan cardstock (Clear and Simple Stamps); white matte enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
