Thought these looked like love birds in this image here, and sneaking in one of my last 2 cards for the MFT Summer school challenge of ombre.
On a panel the same size as my card front, I embossed the lace bg stamp in white. Sponged reds and pinks to create an ombre look. Spritzed with shimmer mist for sparkle (so pretty IRL). Stamped and adhered the sentiment strip. Die cut an opening with an MFT die, stamped and sponged the birds and leaves. Popped up the ombre panel on card front, and adhered birds and flowers (dimensional tape when necessary). Added 2 punched out glitter hearts. Added stickles to the birds - it's lovely IRL, but looks clunky in the photo. You have to trust me on that one!! LOVE how this turned out.

I don't think the stickles on the birds look clunky - I think they look fabulous! In fact the whole card is fabulous - such a beautiful lace background!

How lovely, Maura! I love the doily emboss resist bg & the birds are so sweet. I have to go find the anniversary card I made for hubs..I put it away & now I can't remember where. Tomorrow's our anniversary. Thanks for the reminder, lol.
