Non festive sneak peek with Stampin’ Creative

by | Aug 25, 2018

Good morning! I’m back and here with the Stampin’ Creative blog hop team and this month we are joined by the very lovely Fiona from Oakfield Crafts and Mary Knabe from Stampin’ Peace. With the launch of the Autumn Winter Catalogue around the corner, our theme is to show you a sneak peek but with a non-festive twist.

So for my non-festive sneak peek I am using one of the new die sets in the upcoming catalogue called Merry Christmas Thinlets. It’s full of festive word dies and here I show a way to use them all year round for the type of card we often need the most.

Use the Merry Christmas Thinlets all year round for birthday cards. Simple idea and a design to suit all colours. Louise Sims www.stampinelight.com

Merry Christmas Thinlets Do Birthdays

The Merry Christmas Thinlets have a fabulous style of font that will work for all sorts of occasions, and whilst the other dies of “Merry”, “Christmas” and “Holidays” may be more suited to the festive season I couldn’t help but think of using the “Happy” for this month’s Birthday cards.

I teamed it up with the Birthday Banners stamp set for some celebratory Balloons. This is a stamp set which has been available for a couple of years, but it’s good to mix up some new stash with some old favourites don’t you think?

Merry Christmas dies make a statement for all sorts of occasions and are not just for Christmas. Louise Sims www.stampindelight.com

It was so easy to make this card I decided to give it a go in other colours from the Brights colour collection, the trio of colours I played with are Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody and Gorgeous Grape. Which one is your favourite?

The cards feature some of the Designer Series Paper which you can buy in any of the 58 colours from our colour Collections. Each colour family has its own pack and has paper patterns in 2 sets of spot and stripes in each colour. I love the fact no matter what colour ink I pick, I have cardstock and ink to match … it’s why I fell in love with Stampin’ Up in the first place.

Now it’s time to see what sneak peeks the rest of our lovely bloggers have to share with you. enjoy hopping round!

Until next time,

Happy Crafting and hasta luego,
