Case the Designer for GDP #136

As stampers, we know that CASEing (Create and Share Everything, or Copy and Selectively Edit) is a great way to create our own beautiful cards. This week for the Global Design Project our inspiration comes from the very talented Allison Okamitsu. The challenge is to CASE her card, so here is my card.

I decided to showcase four different colours with the flowers on this card. Why did I choose these colours? As you know, each year Stampin' Up! introduces 5 new In Colours. The 5 colours that are two years old retire to make room for the new ones. I have used 2 of those here. After the end of May you will no longer be able to get the 2016 - 2018 In Colours - Peek-a-Boo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum that I used on this card. This year is extra special for colours at Stampin' Up! as we are getting a whole colour revamp. While some colours will retire, this will make room for a bunch of wonderful new colours that are up to date and on-trend. Two of the current colours that are retiring are Soft Sky and Wisteria Wonder, so they are the other two colours I used for my flowers.

As I mentioned the challenge this week was to Case the Designer. Here is Allison's card that we are all using to inspire us.

This is only the second week I have done the Global Design Project challenge, but I'm really having a lot of fun with it. I can't wait until the next one! Check back next Monday to see what is going on!
