That's A Wrap @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Sandy's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "That's A Wrap", such a clever challenge for our last of the year!  All she means by it is that she wants to see projects that have a gift (or gifts) on it....or maybe you've decorated up a gift bag or a present. We're not usually too sticky over at Little Red Wagon, so have fun with it!

Countdown to Christmas is well on, isn't it though? Five days left....how are you all doing with your preparations? Me....I'm not panicking quite yet. I've still got some cards to do, and some baking, but the gifts are all bought and wrapped so that's checked off my list.

Speaking of gifts.....I'm supposed to show you a project about them. Here it is......

I just love James the Bear. He's from Lili of the Valley (of course). He looks like he's going to make someone extremely happy with that pile of presents.

Speaking of bears....omg, have you seen that GIANT stuffed bear at Costco? A guy was buying two of them tonight. Two of them!! I was with my middlest and he couldn't see the point of them until I explained how great it would be, especially if you had a bad day, to come home, grab a blanket and snuggle up with your bear and have a nap. He thought about it for a second and said, "Yeah, that would be pretty good."  And seeing that he's 6'(just shy of)5" (at 14!) it's probably the only bear he'd ever be able to do that with.....unless, you know, he found himself an actual bear...and even then it would have to be either the grizzly or polar variety.

Why not give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up?  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Oh, and I should just mention that Little Red Wagon is taking next week off to enjoy the holidays.  We'll be back on January 3rd with our first challenge of 2018.  If I don't "see" you before, do have a very Happy Holiday, I hope it's filled with lots laughter and love.  (And food.  Gotta have the eats too.)

  1. What a beautiful card Jan! Your image is amazing, your colouring skills always blow me away! Love the paper patterns, the red one reminds of a fun gift wrap pattern, so there's an extra pplay on your theme!

My family arrived on Friday, so the Christmas festivities have already begun. The Christmas house and the Christmas window display contest this week, fun times! Sending Christmas hugs :)

  3. Super cute card, Jan. As always, love the coloring of the bear and your paper choices (you do THE best paper, never boring). I guess it really wouldn't be advisable for Middlest to snuggle up with a Grizzly or Polar bear, hey? Maybe he just needs a very tall girlfriend. Uh...no, scrap that. At 14, he can wait. We don't have Costco's over here, but from what you're describing that's a BIG stuffed bear! How did the guy get two of them home? What am I'm saying?! European mind set. I'm sure he had a big freakin' pickup truck in the parking lot. Happy Holidays to you and yours, Jan! I'll look forward to seeing more of your stunning creations in the new year ahead.

    1. I was actually leaving when he was attempting to load up the bears. He had one in the back of his big SUV but it's head and limbs were still sticking out....and he had yet to load the other bear! I wanted to stay and watch but Middlest hustled me along...he had practice to get to. :-)

Thanks for the lovely (and funny) comment, Shani! I hope you have a wonderful holiday.

  11. That bear is just the cutest! You colored him absolutely perfectly. And the Costco bear has been the object of my 22 year old daughter's desire for a few years. I just don't have an extra bedroom for it! LOL Thank you for playing with us at the Sisterhood of Crafters and hope you will join us again next year! Happy Holidays!!

Okay, so ever since I started my blog (well, maybe not right from the get-go, it was probably a good six months or so before I realized you could change it from just "Leave your comment") I've tried to come up with something witty to type here.

*sitting with brow furrowed in concentration*...*staring at the ceiling while pursing lips*...*resting with head on hand while tapping foot*...

Nope, I still got nothing.
