Chocolate Cake Mix Bat Cookies

Go batty with these fun and delicious cookies!

They're made from our Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies.

You'll need:

1 chocolate cake mix
1/3 cup oil
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
¾ cup chocolate chips, plus 1/8 more
candy eyeballs
chocolate striped shortbread cookies

Preheat oven to 375˚.
Mix the eggs, oil, vanilla and cake mix.  Then stir in chocolate chips.  Scoop in balls on a cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes.
While the cookies are baking, cut the shortbread cookies in half.

As soon as a batch of cookies come out of the oven,
press the shortbread wings in place.
Let the cookies cool on the cookies sheet.

Melt the other 1/8 cup of chocolate chips in the microwave.
Carefully remove the bat cookies with a spatula off the cookie sheet.
Any wings that fall off you can "glue" back on with the melted chocolate.
Also, use this melted chocolate to stick the eyes in place on the cookies.

.

Let them sit awhile longer for the chocolate to harden.

 Bat-a-licious!
