I almost don’t care how the new Stampin’ Blends work, they are so pretty to look at!

But, I ordered the Color Me Happy stamp set with the Stampin’ Blends, and I couldn’t wait to get started.

With such an array of colors, I narrowed it down to the colors in this week’s Paper Players challenge.

And, This week’s challenge at Global Design Project is to case the designer, Brian King. His card features a large sentiment with his famous layering, which determined my sketch and sentiment choice.

I began by stamping the bird and “thank you” (Color Me Happy stamp set) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.

Daffodil Delight Light and Dark (substituted for Crushed Curry) turned my bird into a yellow canary, and I fussy cut her without trying to save her legs. After coloring “thank” with Pumpkin Pie Light and Dark, I stamped another canary on the corner of the “k.”

I put dimensionals on my fussy cut canary, and placed her on top of the second one, giving her perfectly stamped legs.

The card base is Peekaboo Peach, with a piece of Autumn Harvest DSP to coordinate. Early Espresso cardstock frames the layers, as it does in Brian King’s sample.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone does with the Stampin’ Blends.
