I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Fall/Halloween in the Kitchen

 Welcome!!

Today, I will be showing you my Fall decorations in the Kitchen with a touch of Halloween....

But first, I want to Thank Beverly , over at How Sweet the Sound, for featuring my post, Autumn Elegance Vignettes, as the post that got the Most Clicks from last week's Anything Goes Pink Saturday Party!!
Thanks so much, Beverly!!

Please stop by and link up to this great party!!

I did a bit of decorating for Fall with a touch of Halloween in the Kitchen.......
I like to decorate the desk area of my Kitchen hutch for every Holiday and Season.......
Since the color theme of my Kitchen is red and yellow, it lends itself nicely to the traditional colors of Fall.........
I really did not do much with the hutch.........
Just added a bow made out of a pretty Fall colored plaid ribbon at the top........

But the desk area of the hutch is a different story......
As I mentioned before, the red really sets the tone for Fall decorating.....
In the left hand corner, is a recipe box with a floral arrangement that I made inside of it.......
Apothecary Jars filled with different types of candy corn.....
Pumpkins and gourdes.......
In the middle, is a fall leaf plate and milk glass hurricane lamp........
The lamp is flanked by 2 ghosts......
I leaf plate from Dollar Tree, filled with glass candy corn and lollipops......
 The right hand corner........
A mason jar painted for Autumn.....
 A Jack O Lantern "cookie".......
All ready for Fall with a bit of Halloween......
With the lamp on.......
To the side of the hutch.......
A "Bountiful Harvest " sign and a tin pocket filled with Fall flowers hangs from a hook.......
And old wooden craving board that I spray painted with chalkboard paint.......
  Over by the stove.....
Crocheted magnets that I made many years ago.....
Fall and Halloween dish towels.....
Over by the sink is what used to be the Kitchen window......
When we turned the back porch into another room, we took the window out.....
A few Fall touches.....
A bow made out of the plaid ribbon at the top of the chandy.....
Metal leaves hang from the center of the chandy........
On the shelf.......
The left side, looking out into the Den.....
A glass glass leaf bottle......
A Fall crackle glass candle holder......
There are fairy lights inside of it.......

The right hand side......
A few Fall flowers added to an existing arrangement......
A red glass bottle....

Plaid dish cloths in fall colors.....
My " Harvest Beverage Station".....
The board is a vintage child's chalkboard.......
Fall pot holders hang from the cabinet handles.......
I have my orange cinnamon spice and cinnamon vanilla flavored Tea to enjoy during this Fall season.....
The side of the refrigerator.....
The top of the refrigerator......
A fall themed milk can filled with flowers....
I bought these 2 houses on Clearance at Micheal's and only paid $1.79 for the!! They were originally $15!!!!!
A Pumpkin Jack O Lantern.......
The counter bar.....
Since Fall is Apple season, I filled this 3 tiered hanging wire basket with apple ornaments that I bought at a Flea Market for 50 cents for all of them!!
Another plaid bow was added to the top of my egg wreath.....
I hanged out the runner for one in Fall colors on the counter top.....
On the side of the counter bar.....
The Harvest sign was bought at Dollar Tree......
In my next post, I will be sharing how our front porch looks all lit up in the evening......
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

  5. I can't believe all the little touches and details Debbie. I had to go back and look at the photos again to absorb it all. That hutch looks so lovely, especially with the light on. It casts such a beautiful warm glow over everything and I adore those tea towels and the little crochet magnets. Too cute. Hope you have a lovely week beautiful lady, sending lots of love all the way from Africa
