Did you ever wanted to cycle off to the Moon!
Well i did, a long time back when i saw this movie E.T. It was a super hit film and i am sure most of you must have seen it. The boy in movie, along with friend E.T (an extra terrestrial being) in the front basket, cycles and suddenly lifts off in the air and that scene was truly magical. As a kid i was filled with all kinds of wonder and wished i found a friend like E.T someday. For the next couple weeks (till the movie wore off its influence) though, i did cycle with my toys (a doll or a teddy) in the front basket. I cycled very fast and on slops and pretended i had found my E.T. and was flying with him. Oh! lovely childhood memories. Yup! I was and still am a bit crazy in a weird way, living in my own world and having fun.
So the card i am sharing has this scene inspired by the movie E.T, dedicated to dreamers everywhere with a spirit to fly.
I stamped and colored the images from Lawn Fawn – Bicycle built for you set and then used the coordinating dies to cut the images. I stuck the images together to built the scene on the cycle.
Then on a white card stock i stuck a circle masking paper before blending the distress inks. I then stenciled the modeling paste to get the look of a night sky. After the past was dry i peeled off the masking papers to reveal the moon. Then I stuck the boy on the cycle and all the other elements with foam squares. The sentiment from the same stamp set is embossed with white embossing powered on a black card stock.
I actually made this card for my nephew who is studying very hard for his exams and i wish him all the very best. I hope this card brings a smile on his face and helps him shoot for the stars!
I am entering this card to :
