Camp Create Day 1 - Die Cut Inlay

I always watch the MFT Camp Create videos as they are great technique videos and I learn so much...this time I feel confident enough to participate as well...for Day 1 of Camp Create, Barbara Anders showed the inlay die cut technique and challenged us to do the same...I really like this technique as even after adding so much to the card,we don't add layers and/or bulk to it...here's what I created...

As a participant of Camp Create,I have earned this badge...

I started by die cutting some leaves from an olive green textured cardstock panel....I used two leaf dies from the wild greenery die-namics die set and repeat die cut to cover the whole panel...then using a bright citrus cardstock,I die cut the leaves again for inlaying them on the panel...I used double sided adhesive sheet to adhere the leaves onto the panel...

I cut the panel to size and die cut one end using a stitched scallop die and then started on the rest of the panel...

Using a piece of Kraft cardstock same size as my card front and the same stitched scallop die,I die cut the section for the bottom...I die cut the word hugs from this panel and inlayed the word die cut from the same citrus green cardstock that I used for the leaves...I stamped the word 'sending' using black ink just above it...

Finally,I adhered both the sections of the front panel onto a Kraft cardstock card base and adhered a few sequins to embellish my card...
