Tabs for Everything, even #GDP097 ;)

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Tabs for Everything, even #GDP097 😉

I’m sure you guessed by the title that I’m playing along with this week’s Global Design Project Colour Challenge and using the Tabs for Everything stamp set. I bought this set to use primarily in my Love Today Planner – which it’s perfect for – but really want to use it for more than just that, the more versatile a product is, the better value for money it is in my book and I really like mine to go as far as it possibly can 🙂

Little Paper Party, Tabs for Everything. Work of Art, #GDP097, #1

The colours for this week’s challenge are Crumb Cake, Berry Burst and Wild Wasabi, not one’s I’d usually use together but I think they work quite well with addition of lots of white.

The stamps in Tabs for Everything are very small and I think using several of them in a bold colour – like Berry Burst – is the trick to helping them become the star of this simple card. A swish in Crumb Cake from the Work of Art stamp set creates a subtle background and helps the words stand out even more against all the white on the card front.

I added texture to the plain white elements using the Layered Leaves embossing folder and the Stitched Shapes Framelits which framed the sentiment nicely. A few Glitter Enamel Dots in the palest Berry Burst added some extra touches of colour, a lovely sparkle and finished off my card front 🙂

I really felt inspired to create an encouragement card after stamping all the lovely affirmations on the front and paired the “don’t forget” with a stamp from Dare to Dream to create the inside sentiment.

The little elephant was too sweet to leave out and tied in nicely with the sentiment so was stamped underneath and coloured with the solid image and just the outlines across the bottom.

A quick and easy card today, perfect for anyone who might need a pick-me-up – we’ve all been there – I hope you liked it.

A short and – hopefully – sweet post from me today, it’s my youngest son’s 7th birthday today and soon there will be celebrating and I need to be preparing for an evening of fun, I hope yours is as wonderful as ours is going to be 🙂
