How to Throw the Ultimate Summer BBQ Party

How to Throw the Ultimate Backyard BBQ Party

With summer in full swing and Fourth of July just around the corner, it’s time to fire up the grill.  Here are a few ways how you can be prepared for the ultimate summer BBQ party.

Summer is here and I’m getting all set for soaking in the sunshine and having fun with friends. Just like so many of you, we love grilling and having barbecue parties at our home. There’s something about grilling that makes the food a thousand times better than it already is.

But as much fun as it sounds, hosting a barbecue party at home can be a lot of work. Since summer has just begun, I decided to share a few ways that can make your barbecue parties even better –

Give classic recipes a Twist

Why be boring and do the same old recipes? Think outside the box and don’t be afraid to experiment by giving your favorite recipes a twist.

For example, take your grilled corn on the cob to the next level by adding a little bit of mayo or cheese on it. You can even spice it up by sprinkling paprika and lime on it. It’s one of our favorite ways to enjoy corn on the cob.

If you’re grilling burgers, top them off with interesting toppings like grilled mushrooms or use onion buns instead of regular plain buns. Trust me, they taste the bomb.

And while you’re at the grill, try grilling some fruits like watermelons and pineapples. Grilled fruits are the next best thing to fresh fruits.

Stay hydrated with Flavored water

Instead of serving plain water, how about you add your own spin to it?!

With fresh berries in season, make some Fruit-infused water by adding blueberries or strawberries to ice cold water and sip on it.

Your guests will love the way it looks as well as tastes and plus, it’s a great way to stay refreshed in this hot weather.

 Accept Help

If your friends offer to help and ask whether they can make a dish or grab a couple of beverages on their way to your home, say Yes! It’s always better when there are more hands to help and if everyone agrees, you can even decide to have a Potluck BBQ Party. After all, the key is to enjoy and stress less.

Keep it Comfy and Simple

I keep seeing all these pretty pictures on Pinterest of perfectly decorated patios and outdoor spaces. While they are awesome for getting inspiration, keep comfort in mind and don’t go overboard with all the outdoor decoration.summer bbq

Throw some colorful pillows and bright flowers or plants, and your outdoor space will instantly look lively and full of color. As the sun starts going down, light up some LED Candles for that soft touch of glow.

If it’s too hot outside, use one or two portable fans to keep the area cool. Keep bug sprays, extra hats, and sunblock handy to make your guests more comfortable.

Most importantly, always be Prepared

This may sound simple but sometimes we forget to do the simplest of things. Always stock up on the essentials so that you never run out of things when there’s company over.

Two days before the party, go through your pantry and check whether you are all set for the big day.

Also, when there are many people, it’s but obvious that the number of bathroom trips are going to increase. So make sure you have enough toilet rolls stocked up in all your bathrooms.

I mean, you don’t want guests to feel embarrassed when they find out that there’s no TP, right? (Hey, I’m not judging. Happens to the best of us)

For our upcoming July Fourth BBQ party at our home, I wanted to make sure that I have stocked both the bathrooms and so grabbed Cottonelle® Mega Roll from Walmart. Now you would ask what’s so great about this brand of toilet paper? Well, did you know that Cottonelle is now 4 times the size of a regular roll? That means more usage since you get four times more sheets per roll.

Plus, you can take advantage of this offer going on where you can save $1 on Cottonelle. I definitely didn’t want to miss out on this deal.

Apart from keeping extra toilet rolls under the cabinets, make sure to keep a couple of extra rolls that can be easily seen. You don’t want your guests to do a scavenger hunt in the bathroom now, do you?

And lastly, have Fun!

I always say that the most important thing is to have fun. If a recipe doesn’t turn out to be as expected, it’s okay. Just go with the flow and remember – it’s all about having fun and making the most out of your summer!

Also, if you’re like me who is always finding out ways to save time and be more productive, try Walmart’s FREE in-store pickup. It certainly saves your time and sanity.

After all, spending unnecessary time doing grocery shopping is the last thing on my mind in this beautiful weather right now.

What are your plans this summer?

XOXO
