It’s that time of year again. It’s time for MFT’s Camp Create!
I’m back from a long crafting hiatus! So much has been going on the last couple months from several friends and family moving and weddings, but I’m happy to be back with an entry for MFT’s Camp Create! I’m hitting two of their themes with this card (Remarkable Resist and Spectacular Shakers), as well as designing a card for my friend’s birthday. I’m trying to hit as many birds as I can with one stone. The themes are listed below for this round of Campt Create:
I had just received MFT’s Otterly Love you and Mermazing Clear Stamp in the mail and I just had to use them for this card! My pile of stuff on my desk that are new that I need to use has quadrupled since I went on this little card making hiatus. There were so many awesome sales during my hiatus that I had to avail of but now my problem is, I don’t have enough time to use them all!
Anyways, this is what I came up with:
My favourite part of this card was doing all the ink blending. I used Distress inks Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon, and Chipped Sapphire. I really think the colours blended really well together.
I masked off the oval frame before I stamped the Whimsical Wave Background stamp because I wanted the frame to have the same gradient as the background but I didn’t want the frame to have any embossing. Anyways, you can watch how it came together here:
