Grocery List with Free PrintableAaaggghhh! You know what it’s like when you’re baking something or craving a snack, and you go to the fridge or open the cupboard and the item you’re looking for is NOT there! You just want to scream!

How did that happen? It was just there earlier in the day.

Who took that?

Kitchen gremlins!

That’s life where there is more than one person in the household. The last person to use up the milk, or the cereal, or the coffee, just keeps quiet about it instead of saying “we’re all out, add it to the grocery list”.

If you’re a single, it’s easier to keep track of what you have in the kitchen and what you’re out of. You ate the last of it, and you have no one to blame but yourself if you didn’t put the item on your grocery list. How a single keeps a grocery list is a matter of personal preference and whatever works best. This might mean a grocery list on paper.

Or it might mean a grocery list you keep on your cell phone.

Either way you walk around the grocery store, picking up items, and then crossing them off your list or deleting it from your notes so you know you have it.

This doesn’t always work with others in the household who aren’t diligent about informing the shopper to add something to the grocery list.

I used to keep a grocery list on the fridge. When someone removed the last item or wanted something the next time I went grocery shopping, they checked it off, or if it wasn’t on the list, they added it to the bottom where I have an “other” section. For example, my pre-typed grocery list is missing cereal, rice, and pasta, so they’d have to be handwritten at the bottom of the page.
