It's weekend!

Hi Everybody!

It's a three day weekend, the sun is shining, and it's neither
freezing nor raining today - wonderful!

Today I am sharing a mixed media A3 journal page
made at the art group. I used a vintage image, which
I printed out in sepia and fussy cut. The background was
gessoed, painted with acrylics in sand and ocker, and textures
with a brayer. I used a TH die-cut 'waste' as a stencil and
painted the tree. The birds, numbers, Hebrew alphas, diamonds
and spots were also added with stencils, using burnt sienna
paint with a sponge. I added 2 painted strips and my quote - finished!
I am linking to Simon Monday challenge - numbers, and to
Moo Mania, faces.

  9. I am in LOVE with your MM&M entry, possibly because you used a stamp similar to my favorite Piero Fornasetti stamp of Lina Cavalieri. It's a wonderful entry.

What an amazing place to make art and receive much needed rehab, too. The surroundings are simply wonderful. Thanks for sharing these photos.

  27. Fabulous artwork Valerie (a3 too - wow!)
That's a nice and peaceful view from the art room and lovely photos of the 'visitors' - such wonderful colours on the Chaffinch.
The birds are very busy here wanting food (all day long!) for either new families or maybe their other halves on the nest. One pair of Collared Doves keep being chased off by an another one who is very aggressive and I have ended up going out and standing near them while they feed to keep the other one away. ( I hope they appreciate that ha ha)
