Today I’m using Mama Elephant’s Ella And Friends Stamp Set. It’s an older set but it’s new to my collection and I really like it. I think this set is great for box pop up cards because the bubbles are great for putting up on acetate to appear that they are floating. This is what I came up with:
I had a lot of fun creating this scene and making this card. If you’re unfamiliar with how to make a box card base, check out my Youtube video below.
For this card, the cardstock that I used for the decorative panels was from Recollections Home Basics Paper Pack. This item is something that you can find a Micheals.
For this card, I wanted the bubbles to have dimension so I stamped out a bunch of the solid bubbles with Hero Arts Neon Blue Ink and applied some clear Wink of Stella so they would shimmer. Then I added Glossy Accents over each bubble and set it aside to completely dry. I did all my bubbles first because it takes a while for the Glossy Accents to completely dry and I’m impatient, so by doing it first, they should be dry by the time I need them.
Next, I stamped out the images from Ella And Friends in Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and die cut them with their coordinating dies. I coloured the images with Copic Markers and used the following colours:
Elephant: C3, C1
Hat: R22, R14
Rabbit: E33, E31
Hedgehog: E37, E33, E31
Umbrella: C1, 0, V01, V04
I used Mama Elephant’s Grassy Trio Die Set and die cut out 3 grass strips and adhered them into my box pop up card. I adhered the animals in place with my Zig Two Way Glue Pen then proceeded to cut strips of acetate to adhere my bubbles on to. I adhered the strips of acetate into my box card with my Zig Two Way Glue Pen, as well as Scotch Tape.
I heat embossed the sentiment, “hope your birthday is UNFORGETTABLE (just like you)”, from the same stamp set in Ranger White Embossing Powder, trimmed it down and adhered it onto the front panel of the box card.
I finished the card by adhering the little mouse and a couple bubbles as decorative elements to the back of the card.

This card was also entered in Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and Wednesday Challenge.
That finishes up my day 21 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. I recently reached 600 followers on Instagram and to say thank you and give back, I’ll be doing a giveaway soon, so stayed tuned for that! Thanks for stopping by.
