Woo Hoo! It's Craftathon weekend!

Morning readers,

Just a quick post to let you know that it's Craftathon this weekend and I shall be heading off to Abingdon and leaving hubby at home to self cater ... not that this is an issue for him since he does MOST of the cooking anyway.

I shall be joining friends Catherine, Cherry, Debbie and Jan at a small hall in Abingdon and we have hotel rooms room booked for tonight and tomorrow - let crafting commence! There WILL be photos once I'm back - I'm thinking probably Monday, in fairness!

Ready for the off, wonder what I've forgotten this year and how much of what I'm taking will remain unused!

In the meantime, a quick project to share with you now ...

My ATC
And a closer view to show the diagonal border detail
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in teal and white
  • MFT rose die cut using teal card, run through my Xyron sticker make and attached to the white snippet
  • Derwent Coloursoft pencils used to add colour to the rose
  • Sentiment from the JOFY14 set stamped using Ranger Archival watering can ink
  • Circles from the JOFY14 set stamped (on to the white layer) and diagonal lines (teal matting layer) using Brilliance pearlescent jade ink
  • Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen used to add twinkle to the outer circles and stardust stickles the inner, plus the rose petals

I'll be entering this for the following challenges:-
  1. Crafty Creations - challenge No. 113 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Kraftin' Kimmie - Wonderful Wednesday - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Inspiration Destination - challenge No. 124 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge - challenge No. 246 - GIRLY GIRL
  5. Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge Extra - March challenge - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES

And another Christmas card .. I acquired new Christmas stash recently and couldn't wait to get the images inky (so much better than putting them away and forgetting about them) ...

My card
The front and back of my card and front of my envelope
The inside of my card and reverse of my envelope
Materials used:
  • 12cm square white, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope

  • One piece of blue card cut to mat with a 1.6mm border
  • Grungey tree image stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • "Snowflake" and "kisses" images stamped using Versafine smokey grey ink
  • Snowflake image stamped using Versafine Imperial blue ink

I love your two cards, the die cut flower looks great in that lovely blue and the sentiment is perfect, and your little scene with the snowflake and apt sentiment looks very pretty. You have been getting around well this week with your fun trip to Blackpool and your crafty weekend coming up. Have a wonderful time. x

What a great pair of cards Kathy. Your Christmas card is just gorgeous with the stamping on the back, inside and envelope. Who wouldn't feel special to receive this card? I love the first card too and that sentiment is so true.
