Recipe: French Macarons

I have never made Macarons before, so when I saw a video I knew I had to try.

The photo above is actually my first attempt.  Not bad if I do say so myself.  The recipe was pretty easy to follow, but I highly recommend you watch the video first for the recipe to really make sense.  These are so colorful and cute and melt in your mouth I think these would be great for the spring holidays.

Pink Velvet Macaroons with Cream Cheese Filling recipe can be found HERE.  For the cookies shown in the photo, I made a chocolate ganache and added 1/2 cup Nutella & whipped it to make my filling.  I have also used yellow food coloring with pineapple jam & that was delicious.  A helpful tip, let the macarons cool completely after you bake them, when I took them off too soon it was a fail, but when I waited for them to cool they were perfect.

Watch video below for best results!!!  Enjoy!!—Rae
