Penny Black Basket of Flowers Sunny Smiles birthday card

Hello everyone and welcome to the new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

This time we have our birthday theme and I created this card using some older stash.

The frame dies are from the Papertrey Ink Mix and Mat Postal die set. You cut the outer die and then imprint the inner one to give an embossed frame look. I inked the centre of the frame before adding the basket of flowers made with the Penny Black Sunny Smiles Cling Stamp set. These were stamped, simply coloured and fussy-cut. I sliced a slit in the basket with a craft knife so I could slide the flowers into it.

I'm determined to use more of my older stash again after rediscovering some little used, and even unused sets, whilst reorganising my stamps into categories rather than manufacturer names. I'm at the stage where everything is a mess and I'm wishing I'd never started lol! I'd welcome advice from anyone else who has done this - what categories did you use and did you ever break up stamp sets with some images and lots of sentiments?

As always, there's lots of inspiration for you on the ATSM blog and we'd love it if you decide to join us this time.

First Edition Nativity Dies manger Chistmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge at ABC Christmas Challenges. This time we have 2 choices

J for Jesus
and/or
K for Kings,

and this is the prize for the winner

I came up with this card which combines the two:-

I took a square piece of card and masked off a circle in the centre before inking in blues and purple towards the centre. I then masked off the inked part and removed the circle mask so I could ink the centre in shades of yellow. I die-cut a large circle from the centre when the ink was dry.

I die-cut the stable from some hessian using the First Edition Nativity dies and added the Nativity figures. I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto a banner die cut and added it to the top before cutting a few more circles to raise the image above the background.

It would be lovely to have you join us and you can link up your entry on the ABC Christmas Challenges blog before the 8th June.

John Next Door and Crafter's Companion Christmas card

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and happy and have time to craft in your schedule. It has been so cold, wet and windy in my neck of the woods that I've not been tempted to be out and about as much as usual, so I've had some fun in the craft room.

We have our Christmas Challenge starting at Addicted to Stamps and More, and I created this card to squirrel away in my stash.

I used the Crafter's Companion Snowdrift Create a Card die to cut out the intricate snowflake pattern from the square card base. I then inked one of CCs embossed papers with some blue and lilac ink to provide a backing for the aperture. The bauble used the John Next Door Penny's Baubles die and I framed this with a label die from Papertrey ink. The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Sweet Holiday Penguins stamp set and I embossed it in white on some blue card, cut it into three and matted it onto silver card. To finish off I added red pearls to the snowflakes.

My talented Teamies have some great inspiration for you over on the ATSM blog and you can join in the fun over there if you decide to join us this time.

Spellbinders and The Greetery birthday card

Hello everyone and welcome to the latest challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

.

This time we have our Make Your Mark theme so you can break out your favourite colouring medium and go to town.

I came up with this card

I used the Stamp from the Spellbinder Stylish Oval range that I used on this card back in February
but this time I stamped parts of it around a rectangular panel to give it a different frame look.
I stamped on Bristol Smooth card and coloured with Zig Clean Colour Markers.

The Wonderful stamp and die is from The Greetery, and I finished it off with a trio of little butterflies from Papertrey Ink.

Penny Black Sleigh Ride Christmas card and Crafters Companion Penguin Christmas card

Hello everyone, and welcome to the ABC Christmas Challenges April challenge.

I am hosting this time and I have a little prize for the winner

This challenge runs from 10th April to 4th May and we are covering two alphabet letters this time.

The Christmas/December/Winter holidays themes this time round are:

'H is for Hats'

and

'I is for Inky'

These are my offerings:-

H for hats

For this card, I used the cute Crafter's Companion penguin die, and cut 2 of them, decorating their hats and scarfs in different colours. I stood them in little ice flows from the MFT Polar Pals stamp set and the lower sentiment came from the same set. The background was created by blending a couple of blue inks and adding some splatter.

and I for Inky

I blended several blue inks for this one and then used the Memory Box Pinpoint Burst Impression Plate to add texture. I sprayed the panel with Crafter's Companion Sparkle Spray and although it isn't showing up well in the photos, it looks pretty IRL. The added white splatter was made with watered-down Gouache paint.

The image was stamped with the Penny Black Sleigh Ride stamp set and coloured with Zig Clear Colour Pens. I fussy cut the image and added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to Rudolph's nose.

The Design Team has lots of inspiration over on the ABC blog, and I look forward to seeing your entries if you decide to join us this time.

I hope you are all safe and warm and that Storm Kathleen, which has been buffeting us here today as I write this, hasn't had a big impact on you.

Lisa Horton and Spellbinders Get Well card

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and more.

Thank you for your kind wishes after my tummy bug. I'm happy to report that all is well again, and I even enjoyed some chocolate over the Easter holiday weekend. We have just had our first real taste of spring with a couple of warmish sunny days and lots of flowers are blooming - even the lily of the valley have sent up their shoots and I anticipate they will be sharing their lovely fragrance in a couple of weeks.

Our theme this time is Die Cuts and Stencils so I made a get-well card.

I used the Lisa Horton pocket dies and Spellbinders Be Bold bloom dies, a sentiment from my stash and finished off with a little PTI butterfly.

My Teamies have some great inspiration cards for you over on the ATSM blog and we'd love to have you join us this time.

Lisa Horton Blooming Coneflower thank you card

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and full of the joys of spring. I'm getting there after having a bad tummy bug that has floored me for a few days.

I'm back with a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More, and this time we have our any occasion challenge.

I came up with this 5 x 7 thank you card

I used my NBUS Lisa Horton Blooming Coneflower stencils and 3d embossing folder and then cut the panel with a scalloped rectangle die. I should have cut the panel before embossing because it flattened the raised surface a little. Of course, I could have embossed it again but I was afraid of it slipping and ruining the impression so I chickened out. The die-cut thank-you sentiment is foiled with black foil from Spellbinders.
