Today is Oreo Cookie day according to the unusual holiday calendar. Saint Patrick’s Day is less than a month away, so I figured I would share this Chocolate Covered Oreo recipe OREO day. These are easy, no bake and you can decorate for any holiday with sprinkles. This makes a great school treat. Just place in a clear bag and add ribbon.
CHOCOLATE COVERED OREOS
YOU WILL NEED:
1 package Oreos, I used double stuffed
1 bag of milk chocolate morsels, my bag of chocolate covered about 20 cookies, if you want more buy a second bag of morsels to cover more cookies
1 tablespoon Crisco
sprinkles
melt the Crisco and chocolate in the microwave for 30 minutes, stir and repeat until melted. dip an Oreo in the chocolate and use a fork to flip over, tap off excess chocolate, place on a piece of wax paper, add sprinkles then let harden over night or if you want the done faster, place in fridge.
Enjoy!!!
