Day 5- 30 Day Coloring Challenge: Lawn Fawn Moose Pop Up Box Card

I always look forward to Lawn Fawn’s new releases every few months. I know I said I wasn’t going to buy any new releases until I was done going through
my pile but I caved and ordered a couple things from the recent release, including their Scalloped Box Card Pop Up Die. My order probably won’t get to me though for like two weeks so you can look forward to seeing what I make with them at the end of the month!

Today I wanted to share with you a card using the stamp set Dad And Me. It’s actually sitting on top of my pile and I’m disappointed in myself for not creating with it sooner. The bear and moose images are so cute and Lawn Fawn included so many accessory stamps in the set that are great for scene building. I LOVE IT!!

So as with most of my box cards, I started out by making the box card base. If
you’re unfamiliar how to make a box card, please see this post or watch my Youtube video below.

I really wanted it to give more dimension to the card. I envisioned this card to be a busy wilderness scene and wanted as much depth as possible so I added an extra panel on the inside, so instead of 2, I have 3 to build up my pop up card. The decorative panels were cut from the Melon Patch Cardstock Collection by Craft Smith. This is an item that can be found at Micheals.

I stamped the moose images from the Dad And Me stamp set with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and did some simple Copic colouring. I used the colours E31, E49, E47, E43, E41 on the moose. Then I proceeded to stamp out the scene accessories with a variety of Lawn Fawn inks: Jalapeno, Noble Fir, Celery Stick, Freshly Cut Grass, Walnut, FIsh Tank, Manatee, Sugarplum, Juice box , and Merman . I cut all the images out with their coordinating dies.

Next I did all my die cutting. I used Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Mountain Border, Stitched Hillside Border, and Stitched Tree Border, and adhered them together with my Zig Two Way Glue Pen. I then proceeded to adhere everything into my card base with cardstock and acetate strips and my glue pen , Ranger Multi Medium Matte, and Scotch tape.

My sentiment, “Happy Birthday”, is from a retired Lawn Fawn Set called Bake Me a Cake and was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with WOW Opaque Bright White Powder on black cardstock and adhered to the front panel.

I thought I was going to finish my card at this point, but the more I looked at it, the more I wanted clouds! So I looked through my stash and grabbed a cloud die from the Into The Woods Dies, die cut three out and adhered them into my card.

This card was also entered in Simon Says Stamps Monday challenge.

That finishes up my card for day 5 of the 30 Day Color Challenge. Hope you guys liked it. Thanks for dropping by!

  1. Wow! You are a master of box pop-up cards! This is so amazing! I had so much fun looking at all the layers and details that you included. The colors are bold and vibrant and I like how you made the clouds look like they were “floating.” You used some really great dies and the whole thing came together perfectly. Thank you for sharing such an inspiring project with us for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
