Time Out DT #78, Addicted to Stamps & More #251, Inkspirational #129, SSS Monday – 27 February, SSS Work It Wednesday – February, The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge – March

Hello … bonjour!  It’s party time!  We’re celebrating at Time Out today … and for the next two weeks as it’s our 3rd birthday!  We have a delicious challenge for you (of course!) … and we also have lots of lovely prizes up for grabs, thanks to our generous sponsors (see below).  The theme for our birthday celebration is Love and/or Friendship … and there’s an optional technique twist of Spotlight Stamping.  Here’s where I went with it …

time-out-dt-78Time OutI repeatedly stamped a white card panel with a floral/leafy cluster from Papertrey (Doodlie Do) in grey.  The centrepiece was coloured with Promarkers and I added the Waltzingmouse Stamps (sadly no longer operating) sentiment in black.  The coloured cluster was die cut from the panel and adhered direct to the card base, and I popped the panel up over it on craft foam.  I hadn’t intended to use any embellishments as it’s already a ‘full’ card for me, though after seeing it again here, I may just have to add a little bling to those blooms before it’s sent off in the mail!

Where will our theme take your creative imagination this fortnight?  We’d love to have you share in our celebrations … and to see what you come up with in our gallery!  As I mentioned above, there are prizes galore … just take a look at our fabulous sponsors …       … some of whom are celebrating along with us.  There are special posts over at STAMPlorations, Uniko, Happy Little Stampers and Verve, including cards to inspire you from members of their Design Teams … you don’t want to miss seeing the delights on offer!

All the details about the challenge and the prizes are over at the Time Out blog, along with lots of gorgeous inspiration from our fantastic DT and from our wonderful Guest Designer, (and fellow BABES), the uber talented Ardyth (yes, she of Maskerade!).  If, by some remote possibility, you’ve never visited Ardyth, (or even if you have!) don’t wait … go now … and drink in all the deliciousness over on her blog … you’ll love it!  Do hope you’ll join us for the party!

I couldn’t leave without saying a huge birthday congratulations and thank you to Sandie and Nonni, our fearless leaders at Time Out, for their unending energy, enthusiasm, creativity and hard work … we wouldn’t be here without you ladies … you’re such stars!  Also, a big thank you to my fellow Design Team members past and present … your talent has always and will always inspire me!   Finally, to our players … for sharing your consistently fabulous cards with us in our gallery … it’s a delight to visit you and see how you interpret our themes … thank you!

My card is heading over to …

Anita, thank you so much for your kind words, it means so much and I feel blessed you are on our DT, each challenge making such inspiring and creative cards. This one being no exception. The coloured section just jumps off the page and I hadn’t realised it was die cut-what a cool design. I don’t think it needs any bling, perfect as it is x

Just gorgeous Anita! I’m so tempted to shamelessly copy your design using the surprise stamp set by Kaisercraft that arrived in the post today.

Such a fabulous card, Anita – the pop of colour, as well as the fact the coloured image sits inside the negative space of the coordinated die, really draws the eye to your beautiful card with it’s simple, yet heartwarming, sentiment.

What an extravaganza for the eyes. Thank you for making it and for challenging me to come up with something to do it justice. Love the detail of the spotlight coloring, of course, the way you inlaid it back into the terrific design and popped it up is brilliant. Wish I had that imaginative brain of yours for 24 hours. Hugs, Sweetness.

Your card is absolutely amazing Anita – I love how you “reversed” the spotlight by popping up the rest of the image – genius!!!! And you have just pushed me over the edge in buying that stamp set – I have seen you an Nonni both use it so beautifully that I have to get it 🙂

What a stunner ! The spotlight colouring is amazing really jumps out at you and draws the eye in. I love that you die cut the flower makes it pop even more if that’s possible. A big happy birthday to Time Out can’t believe it’s been three years.

Gorgeous Zentangle feel to this card (and everytime I’ve tried to order this set – it’s been OOS, then I forget to check back). Love the way you’ve used the design to make the background shapes, then added that splash of hot color as the central motif. Very stunning! TFS & Hugs

This looks like a fun card to make and I am guessing you had a great time being creative and experimenting. Those are bold colors and certainly different from your soft pastels. Your creativeness paid off – a lovely card.

Sorry to be so tardy, Anita! I know you know how that goes! I just adore this design and the unique and genius way you have spotlighted your main focus pocus! I know “stunning” is over-used, but good golly, this is simply stunning!! And, if I may disagree, I think no to any extra bling. Your card background is perfect at it is because all the energy and focus is put precisely where it should be! I love this and suspect it will be a challenge winner all over Blogland!! AILYAMYAHAIW!! Sighhhh….gazing in awe at your lovely floral pattern, made all the more incredible with the single, beautifully colored bloom. So striking; so eye-catching, so so so…well, stunning! (I need to broaden my vocabulary to comment on your cards, as I continuously default to the ‘over-used’ superlatives…). Love this card ‘as is’…no bling required!
