Hello … bonjour! It’s party time! We’re celebrating at Time Out today … and for the next two weeks as it’s our 3rd birthday! We have a delicious challenge for you (of course!) … and we also have lots of lovely prizes up for grabs, thanks to our generous sponsors (see below). The theme for our birthday celebration is Love and/or Friendship … and there’s an optional technique twist of Spotlight Stamping. Here’s where I went with it …
I repeatedly stamped a white card panel with a floral/leafy cluster from Papertrey (Doodlie Do) in grey. The centrepiece was coloured with Promarkers and I added the Waltzingmouse Stamps (sadly no longer operating) sentiment in black. The coloured cluster was die cut from the panel and adhered direct to the card base, and I popped the panel up over it on craft foam. I hadn’t intended to use any embellishments as it’s already a ‘full’ card for me, though after seeing it again here, I may just have to add a little bling to those blooms before it’s sent off in the mail!
Where will our theme take your creative imagination this fortnight? We’d love to have you share in our celebrations … and to see what you come up with in our gallery! As I mentioned above, there are prizes galore … just take a look at our fabulous sponsors … … some of whom are celebrating along with us. There are special posts over at STAMPlorations, Uniko, Happy Little Stampers and Verve, including cards to inspire you from members of their Design Teams … you don’t want to miss seeing the delights on offer!
All the details about the challenge and the prizes are over at the Time Out blog, along with lots of gorgeous inspiration from our fantastic DT and from our wonderful Guest Designer, (and fellow BABES), the uber talented Ardyth (yes, she of Maskerade!). If, by some remote possibility, you’ve never visited Ardyth, (or even if you have!) don’t wait … go now … and drink in all the deliciousness over on her blog … you’ll love it! Do hope you’ll join us for the party!
I couldn’t leave without saying a huge birthday congratulations and thank you to Sandie and Nonni, our fearless leaders at Time Out, for their unending energy, enthusiasm, creativity and hard work … we wouldn’t be here without you ladies … you’re such stars! Also, a big thank you to my fellow Design Team members past and present … your talent has always and will always inspire me! Finally, to our players … for sharing your consistently fabulous cards with us in our gallery … it’s a delight to visit you and see how you interpret our themes … thank you!

Oh this is absolutely perfect Anita – love how you’ve used one of my favourite sets. Just stunning – the colour is eye popping!
Anita, thank you so much for your kind words, it means so much and I feel blessed you are on our DT, each challenge making such inspiring and creative cards. This one being no exception. The coloured section just jumps off the page and I hadn’t realised it was die cut-what a cool design. I don’t think it needs any bling, perfect as it is x
Just gorgeous Anita! I’m so tempted to shamelessly copy your design using the surprise stamp set by Kaisercraft that arrived in the post today.
Such a fabulous card, Anita – the pop of colour, as well as the fact the coloured image sits inside the negative space of the coordinated die, really draws the eye to your beautiful card with it’s simple, yet heartwarming, sentiment.
Anita this is such a beautiful card with wonderful stamped images ( I just used this set yesterday) I love the one brightly colored bloom raised up in the center! Happy birthday to TOC Happy almost weekend to you !
GORGEOUS!!! The vibrant pop of color jumps off the page! Beautifully colored, perfect placement of the stamped background and a sweet little sentiment! In my humble opinion…no bling needed 🙂
Anita gorgeous spotlight stamping, I absolutely love the colours you used for yours! Hope you are doing well! xo
Absolutely GORGEOUS card, Anita! I love how the bold colors pop against your soft gray stamping…such a beautiful choice of blooms, too! I’ve been wanting to try this technique…so, now is my chance 🙂
Love this, Anita! The brightly colored spotlighted bloom is gorgeous! Fabulous idea to have the die cut area and the soft gray background images. And the small sentiment in the lovely font is perfect!
What an extravaganza for the eyes. Thank you for making it and for challenging me to come up with something to do it justice. Love the detail of the spotlight coloring, of course, the way you inlaid it back into the terrific design and popped it up is brilliant. Wish I had that imaginative brain of yours for 24 hours. Hugs, Sweetness.
Those pops of bold bright color are fabulous Anita! PRETTY card!
What a gorgeous card Anita!! I love your one bloom colored so vividly and popped up like that. Great job with the spotlighting technique! Hugs, Brenda
LOVE the way you have highlighted just one of the images, so beautiful and so clever!
Thank you so much for your beautiful and kind words Anita! We are super happy to have you in the DT so it’s great to hear you are enjoying the challenge as well! To your card: you and me both seem to love doodle-do! 🙂 I have the dies on my wishlist! The small sentiment is perfect for this design and I love the repetitive stamping. Amazing card, no bling needed!
The pop of vibrant colour on your doodle bloom makes a fabulous focal point, Anita! A wonderful design, as always! You have been an amazing DT member for Time Out – thank you for all of the inspiration x
Your card is absolutely amazing Anita – I love how you “reversed” the spotlight by popping up the rest of the image – genius!!!! And you have just pushed me over the edge in buying that stamp set – I have seen you an Nonni both use it so beautifully that I have to get it 🙂
Oh my goodness. Swooning at how gorgeous your card is. I love the soft gray stamping around the amazing pops of color. So happy that I get to be on this team with you!
Such a beautiful card Anita….love your sweet bright and beautiful flower and how nice it looks tucked in among all the soft gray flowers in the background. Stunning!
That one colorful flower surrounded by the subtle grey ones – wonderful! A real eye-catcher!
What a stunner ! The spotlight colouring is amazing really jumps out at you and draws the eye in. I love that you die cut the flower makes it pop even more if that’s possible. A big happy birthday to Time Out can’t believe it’s been three years.

Bonjour Anita! I’ve never tried spotlight colouring so I will try it for this challenge as your card is stunning with just the one coloured flower! Bon weekend!
You used one of my all time favorite stamp sets in such a fantastic design! This is brilliant, Anita!
Oh I really love that you only stamped all with grey and the only flowers in the middle is colored
so adorable card and stunning card Anita

Oh, how beautiful, Anita!!! Love your very creative idea to die cut the flower for spotlighting and not use a circle or other shape!!!!! The bright colours are so lovely and I really like your choice of stamp to use – perfect!!!! And the sweet little sentiment stamp – another perfect choice!!!! This is a stunning card, my friend!!! Absolutely LOVE it!!!!
Have a great weekend!!!!

That is a fantastic way to spotlight the flower Anita, love the die cut aperture for the flower to peek through xx
There are those gorgeous, doodling blooms, Anita! I never tire of seeing them, and LOve the beautifully colored spotlight … I am seeing no need for additional embellishment … it’s perfect, as you are! xx

What a pretty card, Anita! I like the look of the doodly image stamped repeatedly. The colored in image looks fabulous and pops out beautifully. Thanks so much for sharing this delight!
So very pretty! LOve the monochrom background and the pop up of colors on the center flowers. Thank you for joining us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
really beautiful design, anita! I don’t think it needed any embellishments… it is perfect!
Absolutely stunning! Love that bold pop of colour against the softer background!
Gorgeous Zentangle feel to this card (and everytime I’ve tried to order this set – it’s been OOS, then I forget to check back). Love the way you’ve used the design to make the background shapes, then added that splash of hot color as the central motif. Very stunning! TFS & Hugs

This looks like a fun card to make and I am guessing you had a great time being creative and experimenting. Those are bold colors and certainly different from your soft pastels. Your creativeness paid off – a lovely card.
Your card doesn’t need anything extra…it’s gorgeous as is! Love the way your did the spotlighting and the colors you chose are fabulous! Lovely card!
Such beautiful beautiful stamping! Love how fresh this looks! So happy that I am in the team with you! Hugs, Gerrina
Sorry to be so tardy, Anita! I know you know how that goes! I just adore this design and the unique and genius way you have spotlighted your main focus pocus! I know “stunning” is over-used, but good golly, this is simply stunning!! And, if I may disagree, I think no to any extra bling. Your card background is perfect at it is because all the energy and focus is put precisely where it should be! I love this and suspect it will be a challenge winner all over Blogland!! AILYAMYAHAIW!! Hugs, Darnell xxoo
Such a beautiful card, Anita! I love it!
Anita….not sure how I missed your incredible card. Love how you did your flower, just beautiful my sweet friend! Thank you so much for playing along with us at ATSM.
Sighhhh….gazing in awe at your lovely floral pattern, made all the more incredible with the single, beautifully colored bloom. So striking; so eye-catching, so so so…well, stunning! (I need to broaden my vocabulary to comment on your cards, as I continuously default to the ‘over-used’ superlatives…). Love this card ‘as is’…no bling required!
Hugs and love~c
I was so taken with your artistry that I forgot to add: thank you for sharing this gem in the Inkspirational Connect gallery! Connecting with friends IS the best connection!
